CATAGORY QUALIFICATION LONGEST BEARD In 1999 Rodney Gremillion killed a turkey in East Feliciana Parish that carried a paint brush of a beard. It was taped at 14 1/2 inches long by the LDWF. Russell Allement’s Pointe Coupee Parish turkey from 1988 still holds the record of the largest turkey ever killed in the Bayou State. The heavyweight of gobblers weighed 25 1/4 pounds! Ethan Culver killed a turkey in 2005 that had the total package. The LDWF scored the Bienville Parish bird at 54 1/2. LARGEST WEIGHT HIGHEST SCORING TURKEY
